1. Consultation with expert doctors
During the consultation, your eye doctor will ask about your medical and surgical history and give you a comprehensive eye examination to evaluate your vision and assess whether you can undergo the procedure safely.
2. Surgery by experienced eye surgeons
Before the procedure begins, your eyes are numbed using eye drops. Then the patient will be asked to focus on a special fixation light to activate the precision instrument. After a few seconds, the surgeon will fold away the corneal flap and reveals the middle layer of the cornea. Then the cornea is reshaped to bring back the vision. In the end, the corneal flap is repositioned.
3. Recovery and post operative care
After the surgery, the patient may feel itchy or burned in their eye. There may also be mild pain. So, avoid rubbing in these conditions. All these will disappear in a day or two. Rest in a dark room and wear dark glasses to protect the eyes from harmful UV or electronic light rays. Do not skip the antibiotics or anti-inflammatory medicine if your surgeon prescribes any. It takes at least 3 days to start recovery and up to 1 to 2 months for complete recovery post-surgery.
